The Moraga Street Tiled Steps are the third major tiled staircase project in San Francisco, located in the Golden Gate Heights neighborhood. The 163 steps feature a stunning mosaic design depicting a sunset scene with marine life, birds, and flowers. Created by the same artists (Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher) who led the 16th Avenue and Hidden Garden Steps projects, the Moraga Street stairs were completed with community support in 2010. Together, these three tiled stairways have become a significant draw for visitors and have inspired similar projects in other cities, demonstrating the power of community-driven public art.
